Hubballi: The 11th International Yoga Day was observed with enthusiasm by practising yoga in Hubballi city. SDM University, Dharwad, celebrated the occasion at SDM Dental College Campus under the theme, ‘One Earth – One Health’. Dr Kruthika Guttal, professor of oral medicine and yoga expert, was the chief guest and saod yoga is a holistic science for healthy living. Vice-chancellor Dr Niranjan Kumar presided over the function. About 300 doctors, staff, and students took part in the Yoga Day event. Expert doctors from Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Ujire, demonstrated yogasanas.BJP Hubballi Dharwad Central branch celebrated Yoga Day at Nrupatunga Betta in Hubballi. MLA Mahesh Tenginakai said International Yoga Day is celebrated in more than 37 countries around the world and the credit goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Airports Authority of India, along with stakeholders, celebrated International Yoga Day at the Hubballi Airport. Yoga expert Mamata demonstrated yogasanas. Airport director Rupesh Kumar, ED Engineering Anupam Verma, security head Eerappa Wali, terminal manager Pratap BV, heads of all departments and employees, IndiGo Airlines staff, and other representatives were present at the event.A Yoga Day event was held at the Gymkhana Ground in Deshpande Nagar, Hubballi, in collaboration with Union minister Pralhad Joshi’s Kshamata Sanstha and Dhanyosmi Yoga Kendra. Leader Govind Joshi, Aniruddha Kulkarni, Vinayak Talageri, Premananda Shetty, and others were present.International Yoga Day was celebrated at Hubballi sub-jail. Prison officers, staff, and inmates were present. The Yoga Day was organised on Siddhroodh Mutt premises and schools in Jeeveshwar English Medium School.
