Where Longhorns sit in polls after sweep of Auburn

Texas retained its spot at the top of the college baseball rankings this week.

The Longhorns delivered a perfect 4-0 week, handling UTRGV in midweek action before sweeping their SEC series against Auburn over the weekend.

Coach Jim Schlossnagle’s team will travel to Texas State on Tuesday before hosting Texas A&M for three games beginning on Friday. Schlossnagle coached the Aggies for three seasons and brought them within one game of a national title in 2024 before departing College Station for Austin.

Texas A&M ‒ the consensus preseason No. 1 ‒ has rebounded as of late following a disastrous start to 2025. The Aggies have won their last three SEC series over Tennessee, South Carolina and Arkansas.
