Sprouts holds sneak peak for first New York location in Centereach

CENTEREACH, N.Y. — Sprouts Farmers Market hosted a press sneak peek on Wednesday as the chain put the finishing touches on its new store — its first New York location — opening Friday, January 30, in Centereach, Long Island.

The new 24,000-square-foot location brings with it 92 full- and part-time career opportunities to Long Island. Sprouts’ healthy approach to grocery shopping means potential team members should share a passion for healthy eating and the fresh, natural and organic products available throughout the store.

“Sprouts is bringing a fresh take on the grocery shopping experience. I think we’ve built our company on bringing fresh and local organic selections, and honestly just a wide variety of better-for-you products,” said Mychael Ramirez, PR manager at Sprouts. “New York will be our 25th state when we open on Friday,” he added.

He said that Sprouts has future plans for expansion on Long Island with a new store to open in Levittown on Hempstead Tpke in The Levittown Shopping Center in 2027 and one in Smithtown in the Branch Plaza Shopping Center.

“What you’re going to find here at Sprouts is high-quality, locally sourced, organic things that are going to help you live and eat better, and just things that you’re not going to find in your typical traditional stores. So for us, we’re attribute focused, providing offerings that are gluten-free, paleo, keto friendly, that vegan dairy — I mean, the list goes on. We want to ensure that our customers feel seen and they can find the products that they need to live a healthy lifestyle,” he pointed out.
