HMI is thrilled to announce a $5,000 donation from Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation! Nationwide, more than 550 nonprofit partners will share $3 million in funding from the foundation to support initiatives that provide children and adults with access to nutrition education, gardening and cooking programs, and other resources to support healthier living.
HMI will use these funds to support its award-winning Farmers Market and its educational program, the Power of Produce (POP) Club. POP and is a fun, free program for kids 14 and under to explore healthy eating and the local food system through taste tests, hands-on activities, and direct interactions with farmers. HMI is so grateful to Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation for their generous grant that will enable HMI’s continuing this important community program.
On behalf of Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation, Eric Johnson, Manager of the Manassas Sprouts Farmers Market, presented HMI Executive Director Lisa Harlow with the $5000 donation on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025.
