A new program explores the latest research on how lifestyle choices can support brain health and overall well-being as we age.
Hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association North Central Texas Chapter, the program offers practical strategies to improve memory, focus, and physical health through simple, everyday habits.
“We want to empower people with knowledge and tools to take charge of their health,” said Clarissa Moon, County Extension Agent. “This program is ideal for anyone wanting to learn more about brain health and reduce their risk of dementia.”
Program Highlights:
The science behind brain health and aging
Nutrition and hydration for cognitive function
Physical activity and its impact on the brain
Stress management and emotional wellness
Staying socially and mentally engaged
This program will take place at the quarterly meeting of the Diabetes Community Support Group on Wednesday, July 9 at 10:00 am in the hospitality room at Sammy Brown Library. The program is free to attend. The program is free to attend and pre-registration is not necessary.
This program is open to adults of all ages, caregivers, and anyone interested in adopting a healthier lifestyle. Any participants needing an auxiliary aid should contact the extension office by June 25.
