SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Sullivan County Community Hospital Fitness Center is hosting a special event for kids and their families on Friday, June 20.
“Family Fit Friday” will feature face painting, inflatables, shaved ice, and much more.
The event takes place outside the fitness center and goes from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A color run begins at 7. Participants are encouraged to white shirt that will be stained with powdered dye.
Director of the Fitness Center, Drew Hogue, said the event is a great way to remind kids of the importance of exercise on their long-term health.
“We see prevalences of chronic conditions, obesity, and we want to be able to mitigate that by preaching the simple things like activity,” said Hogue.
