EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — In this El Paso ARC segment of Medical Myth Busters, a doctor goes into detail about the hype of the carnivore diet.
Dr. Rohan Divecha explains why he thinks people are getting into the carnivore diet.
“I think it was made to decrease the carb intake and increase the amount of protein,” he said.
“It’s not going to cause too much fat storage which is the idea I think people are going for in this diet,” Divecha said.
He also explained why the carnivore diet can potentially be bad for you.
Divecha said the best diet is to have a balanced diet of different portions of protein, fruits, vegetables, grains and dairy.
