Boxing legend Mike Tyson has become the face of a healthy eating campaign backed by the Trump administration, aimed at reducing Americans’ reliance on ultra-processed foods.
The 59-year-old former heavyweight champion appears in a Super Bowl ad titled “Eat Real Food” and called the initiative “the biggest fight of my life” at an event alongside Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
In the black-and-white commercial, Tyson reflects on his troubled childhood in Brooklyn, struggles with obesity that saw his weight reach 345 pounds (156 kg), and the death of his sister at 25 from a heart attack linked to weight-related health issues.
The campaign is part of the broader “Make America Healthy Again” agenda promoting dietary change. Kennedy recently unveiled a revised food pyramid encouraging meat and whole-milk dairy consumption, a move that has drawn criticism.
