Texoma Medical Center’s tips for healthy eating habits

SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) – Texoma Medical Center registered dieticians Vie Rivera and Samantha Robbins joined Caroline on Talk of the Town to discuss some healthy food options for those looking to keep their New Year’s Resolutions intact throughout the year.

Rivera and Robbins recommend eating foods high in fiber such as oatmeal with blueberries, toast with peanut butter and banana, apple with peanut butter, and baby tomatoes.

Ingredients used during this segment include:

  • 1 blueberry overnight oats cup
  • 1 apple
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • 2 slices of wheatberry bread
  • 1 whole wheat English muffin
  • 3 slices of ham
  • 1 slice of cheddar
  • 1/2 cup of carrot sticks
  • 1 cup of baby tomatoes
  • 1 cup of steamed broccoli
